My Internship

So I just found out my internship placement today it is a place called "THE SPACE" it is in an old old presbyterian church and it is really cool. One of the really cool features of this place is that I will be working 1.3 miles from the Eastern Hemisphere. O YEAH AND I plan to take the boat to work at least once because I can, Because it is on the Isle of Dogs

Let's try this thing

Alright so after a lot of people have been asking me to start this thing I suppose I will try. Alright latest news......Well I am studying in London for those of you who didn't know that.
Anyways This past Saturday the Baylor group went to Stonehenge and Bath. The trip was a lot of fun and we were able to see a lot of interesting sites. Sadly a few of us came to a consensus that we really didn't appreciate the historical sites as much as we should have, mainly Stonehenge, because it is roped off by about 15 to 20 feet at the closest point you could get to it. So it was really hard to get the full effect that you would receive if you were standing right next to the rocks. However, looking back at the experience I am very happy that I went. Bath was interesting to say the least. First of all we got to see the house in which Jane Austen lived, and then we went and looked at some dead guys bath tub that he never quite got around to draining. Not true, but funny to think about. Bath is renowned for its main attraction, The Roman Baths, the waters were said to have healing powers. I am not sure as to how much healing was going on but seeing a site that was created by the Roman Empire around the time of Christ was amazing. Especially since this area had been covered over until a few hundred years ago.
Alright enough of that nonsense. The rest of the weekend was pretty tame, I found a church that I really enjoy. It is called All Souls Church and they are actually having a welcoming party tonight, but because of prior scheduling with a paper I have to write I will not be able to attend. That's alright though because I am sure I will attend many other events. Plus if I go to this I am pretty much committing to the church and I still want to look around.
Alright so last night was pretty stinkin' phenomenal I went to see the West End production of 'Wicked', the reverse story of 'The Wizard of Oz' from the Wicked Witch of the West's point of view. It was amazing, the set was fantastic and the costumes were right out of Oz. The actor who played Elphaba, WWoWest, had the most thrilling voice I have heard in a long time. She had notes that are difficult to reach and she seemed to sing them with out even breaking a sweat. The only criticism I truly have of the entire play was diction by a lot of the chorus and a few members of the supporting cast, and that even got better as the show progressed. This brings my show count up to 4 so far with the performances of STOMP!, We the People, The 39 Steps, Wicked and there are many more to come.
